After growing up on a diet of Monty Python and old Motown, Beach Boys and Beatles vinyl, John discovered heavy metal and hip-hop in high school when he finally got his first drumkit aged 13.

He's been regularly told to be quiet ever since.

John's musical tastes and influences have vastly widened over the years.  He wasn't content with just listening to metal and soon found himself enjoying more melodic music. He discovered more inspiration through lots of funk and subsequently drum and bass, all of which have changed him as a drummer - and keeps on changing him.  John enjoys being in the studio and releasing a beat that's been trapped in his head; every time it's a reflection of what he's currently listening to. 

Whether John is with the other members of Pablo Eskimo or elsewhere he likes nothing more than laughing, smoking and collecting humorous t-shirts.

Although now very much looking its age, he still has that old drumkit.
