Howdy folks!
As you’ve probably guessed things have been rather manic here at Pablo HQ. We’ve been running around all over the place getting booked up for festivals and other large parties in fields as well as gigging all over the place. So, we thought we would put all of our up and coming shenanigans in the one place to make it really easy for you wonderful people to know what we’re doing.
This Friday, two thirds of Pablo shall be gracing the stage at Capitol on Sauchiehall Street. PabloBob and PabloAlaine shall be jamming a wee stripped down set with the tunes they can get away with in the name of charity. A friend of a friend is heading over to Africa to work with sick kids and she’s hosting a fundraiser with all proceeds going towards her trip over. Johnboy shall be there in spirit (he’s away seeing Queens of the Stone Age that night, lucky bugger) so it will be an interesting and marked change to our usual stage performance!
If any of you are heading to this year’s Knockengorroch festival on the 26th – 29thMay, PabloAlaine shall be there with guitar in hand on the open mic stages and round the campfire. If you see her, please join her in a wee sing song….she’ll be well chuffed if you do and you won’t be disappointed!
Next up is the Eruption Records all day Music Fest at the 13th Note Café on the 11thJune. We shall be partaking in this day of madness alongside a ton of other amazing bands. It’s going to be a messy one but will be loads of fun...!! Then, it’s a quick trip down to Dumfries and Galloway to play the fantastic Eden Festival on Sunday the 12thJune. We shall be playing in the Cider Tent about 2pm, hope to see you there for some pears, apples, alcohol and Pablo magic!
Then, as if that wasn’t enough, we’re playing the Summer Solstice Party on the 17th – 21st June. Location details are still to be confirmed for this, but I can guarantee you it will be a most amazing weekend. Last year we met some amazing people and it was roasting hot (to read about last year’s solstice party just head here to our blog page! We know all the amazing people will be back there this year, we’re just hoping for a repeat of the weather!
Stay tuned to hear about our adventure back up to the Kingdom of Fife, you can read about our first adventure here on our blog page! We’re getting some more tunes recorded and stopping to take part in a radio interview. We'll get it up on the site asap....
So that’s what’s happening to us over the next few weeks. We really hope to catch you guys at one performance or another….or all of them! Keep checking for more gigs in July. Until then my friends, stay cool...

Pablo Eskimo have been extremely busy since the New Year, but we’re trying to update you as much as possible, so here goes!
First off, we launched our brand new music video Dot Dot Dot in the middle of January. You can watch it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgWAOBLwr-0
We had a chat with the lovely people at Creative Boom magazine about it so it’s been getting quite a bit of attention! You can read the full interview here:

Next on the list is that Pablo Eskimo has been selected as one of the 6 best unsigned or independent bands on XRP Radio. They got a hold of our tune Bunny Boiler last year and have just about played it non stop, so we’d like to take this opportunity to thank the guys at XRP for all their help and support over the last months. We really appreciate those who actively support us; it’s extremely comforting to know that other people outside the close Pablo circle believe in what we’re doing!
You can read the article here:
Or you can read below:
This is the second in an occasional series of 'Notes' in which we'll tell you about Six of the Best tracks by unsigned and independent bands.
Why six? Coz six is the maximum number of 'tags' allowed in a Facebook post and this is Six of the Best unsigned or independent bands on Facebook.
In a world full of shows like the X-Factor which distort the idea of 'talent' beyond recognition, XRP is proud to play the best bands you've never heard. This is real talent - the best.
This edition of Six of the Best comes to you from Kate Lynn-Devere of the Tuesday Night Music Club and features Kate's choice of Six of the Best Bouncy tracks from unsigned and independent bands.
Pablo Eskimo - Bunny Boiler
Will and the People - Addicted
Paper Shapes - Blood From A Stone
The Keyz - Don't Let Go
Missed You at the Show - Small Town
Jug - Don't Wanna Go Alone
And finally, we're currently in the process of filling up our gigging calendar for 2011. So far we're playing the Equinox party which is on the 18th - 21st March, The Solstice party on the 17th - 21st June and Free in the Park on the 8th - 10th July which is the best alternative gathering to T in the Park ever! Locations for all are rather top secret at the moment, but you'll be guaranteed to see us on a stage in a beautiful field somewhere in Scotland! We will be able to release more info nearer the time, so keep on checking our Facebook page for updates!
